Had a nice morning down at the Spicer Auction in Rhode Island. Talked to a lot of people, enjoyed the sunshine, was annoyed by the wind and caught a cold. Or perhaps I went there with the cold to begin with. Please pass the sudafed?
Sold a bunch of tools the easy way by consigning them to Spicer. Talk about lazy... I just stood back and watched someone else do the work. As the tools, books and detritus (Not that Detritus, apologies to Terry Pratchet) slowly disappear, the basement is beginning to look usable again. By Spring I expect to be able to actually hear an echo.
On the way home I dropped off a few bags of the books I'm slowly selling off to my local used book store, Pazzo Books. I've run up a fair credit there what with the assortment of books I've dropped off. Sometime soon I expect to hear of a memorial shelf dedicated to me...
While there, I asked about a German book on Windmills I had seen on their blog. And liked it so much I took it in exchange for knocking down my credit a whole bunch. Ive seen a few books on windmills, but never one containing such an excellent set of plans for building one. I'm thinking a windmill could look nice in the backyard, if the zoning commission will approve it?
I'll have to ask Wolfgang for a translation of the cover!
Till next, Gary
