The questions for today are:
What kind of drawknife are these workers holding and what craft are they engaged in? My guess has been shingle makers but I have yet to find one of these gadgets in an old tool catalog.
Are they standing on a hillside, was the photography a bit tipsy or have they all discovered how to combat gravity at the same moment in time?
What sort of sprig is it in the pockets of some of the workers and why are they there?
