This interesting standing fillister made by G. van der Hoeft of Holland is a puzzle.
At 10 inches in length and 2 5/8 inches in height, it would seem to be of 18th Century origin, or very early 19th Century. There is no information on date or place in the records. At least not that I can find. The beech is quite dry, worm holed and light in weight. The blade is unmarked.
For the record, a standing fillister is a rabbet plane with an integral, fixed depth stop and side fence.
