I'm fairly new to Facebook. Twitter is OK, but it gives me the tweets at night. A couple of tylenol and I feel much better.I'm not really a major social media fan. I post when the moment calls to me, when I feel I have something to say, or something that needs saying, or something that only I want to say but I want to see it online. There is always the hope that someone else will want to read it online too, else there really wouldn't be any social media, would there?
NetworkedBlogs is some sort of offshoot of Facebook. I suspect they add some fertilizer, grow lights and water. Presto! New Facebook things. Things can be interesting to play with, so I created a Toolemera Press Facebook page (with nothing there yet) and while doing so, was directed to NetworkedBlogs by Facebook (Facebook really isn't an artificial intelligence, but at times it feels more intelligent than the Senate).
Of course, I had to register with NetworkedBlogs simply because it exists. So now I have some sort of presence there too. Exactly what that presence is, I am not yet sure, but in time I will suss it out. if I can't suss it out, I'll just give it the bent eye (been watching too much Lovejoy lately).
For now, I need the kindness of your collective hearts to try any one of the following steps so I can see what happens at this end. I suspect I'll get an email saying such and such has happened, so and so has clicked a link, the blog or networked blog or facebook page has been shared/liked or whatever is appropriate to that particular entity.
Truthfully, I'm used to the linear/tangential form of a Typepad blog, the hierarchical form of the average web page and the one page after another page form of a book. Facebook seems more of a cloud at the moment. In time, I am sure I'll get a better sense of what Mark Z. intended when he set out to conquer the known universe.
Till next, Gary
